Bay Area legend and hyphy enthusiast E-40 is dropping his latest studio album this November, and E-Feezy is letting you hear the first single off said album right here on GQ. If you're familiar with E-40's work, then you know his thumping beats and deep drawl will have you involuntarily moving from side to side, and his newest single "On One" is no different: The song features AD, as well as 40's typically blunt raps. ("All I think about is money, pussy and liquor" is as honest as it gets.)
The Vallejo native was kind enough to describe to us how he wants you to vibe to the song.
"With this beat, as soon as you hear it, you wanna make your move. I’m the only one with a slap like this," 40 said via email. “'On One' is a triple entendre. It can mean, 'I’m trippin’, don’t say nothing to me,' 'I’m feelin’ good, I’m feelin’ high, I’m drunk,' or 'I’m on a mission to get money or progress so don’t baller block and hate on my paper, mane.”
Those three things should cover all of us! You can find out what "On One" means to you below. E-40's latest album, D-Boy Diaries Book 1 & 2, will be available Nov. 18.
